서울에서 태어나 유년기부터 일찍이 미술을 익히고 청소년기에 다양한 예술 분야에 깊은 애정을 키웠다.  청년 시절에는 건축을 폭넓게 공부하여 다양한 대규모 건설 프로젝트에 참가하고 설계와 시공을 업으로 삼았다.  서른 중반에 독일로 건너가 유럽의 여러 나라에서 다양한 작업을 시도하며 예술적 역량을 확장하였고 한동안 광학사업을 위해 일을 했지만 현재는 개인 작업에 집중하고 있다. 지난 10여년간 대한민국의 해안가, 국립공원, 지질공원 등의 전역을 다니며 다양한 풍경 사진 작업을 해왔으며 적외선 사진과 초대형 파노라마 사진 작업을 통해 깊이 있는 탐구를 이어왔으며,  유럽의 여러 광학 브랜드에서 앰버서더, 마스터로 활동하며 전문적인 건축 사진 작업에 몰두하고있다. 김수근 문화재단과 함께 건축가 김수근의 작품들을 40여년만에 공식적으로 아카이빙하고 있으며, 국내 예술가들과도 활발히 협업을 진행중이다.

Born in Seoul, I studied to the visual arts at an early age and, during my adolescence, developed a profound affinity for a wide range of artistic disciplines. In my youth, I pursued extensive studies in architecture, subsequently engaging in numerous large-scale construction projects, where I was involved in both design and execution as my professional vocation.In my mid-thirties, I relocated to Germany, where I undertook diverse projects across several European countries, further expanding my artistic practice. Although I was for a time engaged in the optical industry, I am currently devoted to my independent art work. Over the past decade, I have travelled extensively throughout the coastal regions, national parks, and geoparks of South Korea, producing a substantial body of landscape photography. My ongoing explorations, particularly through infrared photography and ultra-large-scale panoramic imagery, reflect a sustained and in-depth inquiry into the medium. I am also actively engaged in professional architectural photography, serving as an ambassador and master for several European hiend optical brands. In collaboration with the Kim Swoo Geun Foundation, I am formally archiving the works of the architect Kim Swoo Geun for the first time in over four decades. In addition, I continue to collaborate extensively with contemporary artists in Korea.
